Firesnacks Helps Team Canada Raise Funds for the National Men’s & Women’s Volleyball Teams.
March 6, 2006 - Firesnacks was thrilled to once again assist Team Canada Volleyball in their goal of raising much needed funds for the National Men’s & Women’s Volleyball Teams. This is the second year that Firesnacks has leant our support. Last summer Firesnacks assisted with the 2005 Super-Spike festival at Maple Grove Rugby Park in Manitoba (www.superspike.ca). This time around, it is the Team Canada Fundraising Auction (www.volleyballauction.ca), and Firesnacks is hosting the auction website.
Volleyball Canada (http://www.volleyball.ca) posted the following at their website: "The Team Canada Volleyball Centre is excited to announce that its prestigious annual Fundraising Auction began this morning. The annual week long fundraising event is being held live at the Shops of Winnipeg Square, and online via an event website at www.volleyballauction.ca."
The weeklong auction will feature over 100 high-end items and unique packages, which will be up for silent auction bidding by the general public. Marquee items at this year’s auction include various getaways such as a Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Pittsburgh Penguins trip for two, numerous items of rare autographed sports paraphernalia such as a Mark Messier autographed Edmonton Oilers jersey, furniture, golf clubs, art, and a VIA Rail first class trip for two to Jasper!
One hundred percent of the proceeds raised go back towards supporting our National Men’s & Women’s Volleyball Teams.
