Ontario Senior Games Association (OSGA) Winterfest 2007 chooses Firesnacks to develop their website.
February 15, 2006 - Ontario Senior Games Winterfest 2007 Hosted their One Year Out Kick-Off Event at Brockville Country Club. At the event, Firesnacks was officially recognized as a corporate media partner (web). Lawrence Smith of Firesnacks spoke to the assembled VIP's and as part of his address said "Firesnacks is excited to be a part of this important project which will provide a huge benefit to seniors across Ontario and provide significant economic stimulus to the host region. Firesnacks brings domain expertise with large web projects for both Provincial and National Sporting Associations. The Winterfest 2007 website will be accessible to seniors who have varying levels of expertise with the Internet and will centralize information for organizers, volunteers, local businesses and athletes alike."
The Ontario Senior Games Winterfest 2007 is one of six events under the Ontario Games Program at the Sport Alliance of Ontario and serves as the Provincial Championships for winter events for the Ontario Senior Games Association. An estimated 1200 to 1500 participants aged 55 and older will be representing 40 districts from across Ontario in ten official and two demonstration sports. Winterfest activities include: alpine and Nordic skiing, badminton, curling, ice hockey, skating, volleyball, ten-pin bowling, duplicate bridge and table tennis with snowshoeing and squash as demonstration events. Forty districts throughout Ontario are represented at the Games and athletes are chosen through a series of regional qualification events.
